It is easy to perform and one can practice this meditation technique by sitting or lying with close eyes. Initially start with slow breathing and then try to bring awareness to the spinal passage like consciousness of breath movement during every inhale or exhale of breathes. Spend a few minutes in establishing this inner breath pattern of up and down movement and then try to locate chakras within that channel. Also try to feel the location of each chakra station and its movement. Mentally repeat this mental awareness as you pass by it either up or down.

Steady gaze (Trataka) Meditation: Trataka means steady gazing. Now in this form of meditation, one tries to steadily gaze at any particular focal point or object. In most of the cases a candle is used though one can also use any other object. The candle is generally placed at an arm’s distance, level with eyes, initially steady gazing is done with the eyes open and finally after few minutes eyes get closed. Moreover, try not to move through out the practice and relax your breath.
